A Once in a Lifetime Volunteer Opportunity
The State of Colorado, in collaboration with Colorado Tourism Office and the America 250 - Colorado 150 Commission, is looking for 36 volunteers from Colorado to travel to Washington DC and take part in the Great American State Fair.
The Fair, an initiative of Freedom 250, is being hosted on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. as part of the celebration for the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. For the two weeks flanking the Fourth of July, the Mall will host pavilions for each of the 56 states and territories alongside other state fair themed events and activities.
We are seeking volunteers to staff the Colorado state pavilion throughout the Fair, from Thursday, June 25, 2026, to Friday, July 10, 2026. Volunteer shifts are scheduled for 4-5 hours, and we are asking for a commitment of 2-3 days per volunteer.
While you’re not volunteering, join in the fun of the Great American State Fair – where the National Mall will be transformed into the biggest state fair in the country – and visit Washington D.C.’s incredible museums!
Help us represent Colorado on a national stage as the nation's capital celebrates this milestone anniversary!
Shifts Available:
June 25-26 (2 days)
June 27-29 (3 days)
June 30-July 2 (3 days)
July 3-5 (3 days. 4th of July on the Mall!)
July 6-8 (3 days)
July 9-10 (2 days)
Space is limited. Please sign up by June 1st so we can ensure all shifts are covered!
